Mónica Navarro Leonard

Graphic facilitation and graphic recording for meetings of all shapes and sizes. I listen to the conversation and draw it as it happens, so complex ideas become something everyone can see.

Post-meeting visuals

Process

How I work

Step one

Listen

Meetings are full of good ideas that vanish by lunch. I listen for them: what is said, what is meant, and what everyone keeps circling back to.

Ears first, markers second.

Step two

Discern

Not every word makes it onto the wall. I pick out the ideas that carry weight and how they connect, so a two-hour debate fits on one page.

Finding the structure inside the conversation.

Step three

Capture

Then I draw it: live, while the conversation is still happening, or afterward as a polished visual you can share and revisit.

A picture people can follow.

About

About Mónica

I grew up in New Jersey and reached Baltimore the scenic way, by way of Philadelphia and Washington, DC. Along the route I have been a wedding photographer, a designer, a political campaign staffer, a rock band manager, a dog nanny and, once, a birthday party clown. Every one of those jobs taught me the same thing: people are always telling a story, and most of them could use a hand telling it.

These days I draw that story while it is happening. I do graphic facilitation and graphic recording for meetings of every size, turning complex ideas into pictures people can follow.

Off the clock, I love dogs, Halloween and a good book. I think Old Bay is just OK, and I have made my peace with what that means in Baltimore.
